Congility: The New Name for X-Pubs! [Posted: Aug 23 2010]
After years of loyal service, the X-Pubs brand is retiring to make way for the organisation’s new name:
Congility
Congility will feature the similar subjects and the same high quality events brought to you by the team X-Pubs at Mekon, enhanced by a wider focus on content strategy, integration and lifecycle issues, and new speakers added to the community.
Congility will still continue to address issues such as content management, migration, authoring best practices, and the team and culture issues often under-represented in technology discussions and content conferences, thus helping organisations to make the right choices for their situation. Congility will organise and deliver webinars, seminars, case-studies and whitepapers from some of the industry’s most valued technical minds to educate on and promote the latest content standards.
Congility 2011 Conference
Congility 2011 is going to address questions like:
- How can we give content agility and make it flexible enough to be leveraged across departments, websites, documents, projects and initiatives to help customers or would-be customers achieve their goals?
- How can we build a Content Strategy that is based on solid business strategy?
- What are the steps required to optimise delivery for the illusive ‘user orientation’ that we all talk about?
- How can we share standards across teams using structure and those that aren’t (yet?)?
- What organisations have done it, and have measurable results to report back?
- What is the role of metadata and taxonomy and how can we roll them out for maximum ROI?
The team from Mekon who worked on X-Pubs will continue to sponsor and administrate Congility events and publications and well-known lead consultant Noz Urbina will remain Events Chairperson.
